Bob Schultz, of Sun Wood Photography and a member of the Moose Jaw Camera Club unveiled a special gift to Tourism Moose Jaw on Tuesday morning.

In the span of two hours he took over 500 photos of Moose Jaw's historical buildings and locations. Schultz went through the long, tough time of selecting the best photos and placing them into a 70 picture collage, which he donated to Tourism Moose Jaw.

Choosing a collage-style was his way of showcasing a large portion Moose Jaw's history.

"I thought about it for a long time, You know a guy should do something with all of the facades of Moose Jaw because it's so awesome if you just look at it and just one picture doesn't do it justice. I thought that putting them all together might help out a little bit more".

The inspiration for this kind of project is really about preservation according to Schultz, "it's basically a collage of different heritage buildings in Moose Jaw buildings that we all see everyday and go unnoticed. They have been around for so long and can be taken for granted and all of a sudden you could have a fire or something could happen and then they are gone".

Jackie L'Heureux Mason, Executive Director for Tourism Moose Jaw said that they were excited to have received this gift.

"It was a total surprise, when he walked in to outline his ideas for the project, I was in the middle of a script for the heritage buildings in Moose Jaw, so timing couldn't have been better. When he said he also wanted to donate it to Tourism Moose Jaw I was totally overwhelmed".

The collage is in the Tourism Moose Jaw building for residents and tourists to view.
