City officials are expecting a major turnout Monday night as councillors receive a report on how to deal with narrow streets in the area called the Avenues.

The on going, seven year saga of narrow streets dates back to when residents around Sask Polytechnic became increasingly frustrated with the lack of parking in front of their own homes.  The problems came to a head when local emergency crews told City Hall they were unable to respond to calls because their vehicles couldn't fit down the street with vehicles parked on both sides.

The inherent safety matter forced council to make a move and several public information sessions were held to try and find a solution.  The initial report was sent back for further public consultation.  What's expected to be the final recommendations will be presented to council tonight at 6:30.

Here are some of the stories that we have done so far on this ongoing issue.
