Counterfeit money is making its way through Moose Jaw.

According to the Moose Jaw Police Service, several calls have been made since February involving fake $100 American bills being used to obtain food deliveries and change.

The suspect typically requests food delivery using an out of province number, then asks the delivery be made to a parking lot, alley, or on the street in front of a residence. Once the food is obtained the suspect receives real money change after paying with the counterfeit money.

The possession, use, and creation of counterfeit money is illegal in Canada. Anyone with any information on these incidents is asked to contact the police.
