The Moose Jaw Public Library is always coming up with new and interesting programs to involve the whole family.

The same is true with Geek Dads and Super Kids, running every 4th Tuesday starting November 28th.

Stephanie, Reference Technician at the library, explained what it was all about.

"It's an opportunity for dads or other male role models to come down with their kids of any age and try out some of our cool maker tech equipment. There's lots of interesting things that you many not have had an opportunity to play with otherwise. Our most recent one was using LittleBits."

LittleBits are circuit building toys that teach kids about how electricity works and how to problem solve. They are very expensive, which is why the library wanted to have programs like this to let everyone experience the fun.

Stephanie said there are more fun things to play with on the way.

"In the new year I'd like to work with Makey Makey. That's where you can turn just about anything, fruits and vegetables are popular, into a way of controlling computer functions. We've made bananas into pianos, for example."

Geek Dads and Super Kids is open to anyone that would like to try, no registration necessary.
