Details are still quite light as officials tend to the aftermath of a fire that consumed a house early Saturday morning. 

According to the police they received a call around 1:10am on Saturday morning to assist the fire department with a house fire on the 2600 block of River Street West. 

Emergency service crews were on scene for hours, with the Moose Jaw Fire Department doing their best to battle the blaze. 

Unfortunately, the house was a total loss and firefighters were on scene dealing with the incident and cleaning up for well over 9 hours. 

The damage is estimated at $500,000 and there is no word yet on injuries or the cause of the fire. 

The investigation is ongoing.
