Moose Jaw Diversified Services is currently reviewing their service delivery model with the goal of having a greater presence and increased participation within the community.

"We serve about 120 people," explained Lauri Weatherall, Assistant Manager and Program Director at Diversified Services. "There's a broad range of what their needs are and what their wants are around what they like to do. So we're coming out to the community to see what is available, what the community needs are."

Through questionnaires and interviews, Diversified Services is working to support their clients to the best of their abilities. So far they've reached out to business members a part of the Moose Jaw and District Chamber of Commerce, and they plan to reach out further soon. All of which stemmed out of a new direction the organization wants to take.

"We developed a new ideology with our new guiding principles and to follow whatever we might be able to provide as service delivery within that ideology," Weatherall said. "A new mission has been developed, a new vision for our agency, and where we're going."

The goal is to create a service "menu." Something that people who use Diversified Services could easily look at and decide they want to try something in the community.

The questionnaire stats that "Diversified Services is reviewing its service delivery model with the goal, as full and equal citizens of Canada, of having a greater presence in and increased participation within the community. Diversified Services is in the process of developing a menu of community-based services that service recipients choose from."

The survey they sent out asks people if they have any services or opportunities that could be made available to people who get services provided to them from Diversified.

If you feel like you could help them, you can contact Diversified at (306) 692-4954 and become a part of the questionnaire. This is just one step in the organization's plan to improve their service delivery.

"We're really excited about it and really looking forward to hearing from the community as a whole and from the service recipients as to what they would like to be involved in what's out there," Weatherall exclaimed. "We will create a menu of services and we're just anxious to get that ball rolling."
