The DIY Repair Hub has now held a number of meetings in Moose Jaw and is continuing to grow.

The goal of the market is to be more sustainable and reduce waste. The idea is to gather individuals, bring their broken items and share their skills to fix them.

Nadine Lee is the owner of the Wandering Market on Athabasca Street East, where the hub is hosting their meetings. "The idea is that there is a free space, people come on a designated day and bring their broken stuff then together they share their skills and tools and they just fix stuff."

Repair hubs, clubs, and cafes are popping up all over North America as people look to stretch their dollar and move away from the simply throwing out broken objects.

Social media pages, websites, and blogs are dedicated to finding ways to repair items without the extra expense of going to a specialist.

The next Moose Jaw meeting is Saturday night, details can be found on their Facebook Page.
