We know that we can get the flu, but did you know your dogs can too?

Two dogs in South West Ontario have been diagnosed with canine influenza. This is the first time there has been confirmed cases where dogs in our country have been reported with the disease, as it is mainly widespread through parts of Asia.

Canine influenza has no risk or impact to human health as it only infect dogs, but symptoms are similar to the human flu. This type of influenza is generally mild for dogs to endure though.

The sickness is rather easy to spot, as dogs will seem run down, and symptoms include a fever, runny nose, runny eyes, and a cough.
