It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Not just with the snow starting to fall, but the Downtown Business Association is once again hosting 'Christmas in Moose Jaw', encouraging all residents to start their holiday shopping early, and shop local.

Communications Manager with the city of Moose Jaw, Craig Hemmingway.

"We really want to encourage people to shop local. We know one of the things that have come out of COVID-19 over the last few months is even more businesses have expanded their online shopping opportunities. If people are concerned about heading out, our local businesses can be found online."

It won't just be businesses in the early Christmas spirit either, the downtown core will be decorated with Christmas lights as well.

"We will be turning the lights on for this weekend for Christmas in Moose Jaw, and once the weekend is over, we will turn the lights out. We reach out to the Royal Canadian Legion each year and indicate our plans, and we thank them for their understanding. We want to show them our respect. We will not be turning the lights on again until November 12."

Christmas in Moose Jaw runs from Thursday to Sunday.
