"It doesn't really matter where you are in the province now; it seems like everybody got something in the last few days."

That is Crop Extension Specialist, Shannon Friesen, who recapped the crazy week of weather we have had here in Saskatchewan.

Everything from heavy wind and rain, plow winds, funnel clouds, hail, and even tornadoes has made an appearance around the Prairies this week.

With certain damage to some crops around Moose Jaw due to the weather, Friesen provides insight on why it's a good idea to wait a few days before assessing your damage.

"Going out the next day after the storm and assessing damage can be a good thing, but of course waiting a few days to see if anything recovers is even better. In many cases the blossoms will have been knocked right off, so for those it's really hard to say until you give it more time to see if it's able to recover."

Farmers crop will be seeing some relief this weekend as there is nothing but sunshine in the forecast for the foreseeable future.
