Since 1996 the Saskatchewan Festival Of Words has been bringing speakers and authors to Moose Jaw, and this year looks to be the biggest one yet.

The four day festival will see over 50 different events featuring various speakers and authors.

Executive Director Sarah Simison said it's a unique event as far as accessibility.

"It's really up close and personal. You're rarely in a really big venue with lots of people and somebody up on the stage. it's usually the smaller venues, like the library, with 50 to 60 people in each room. We have 4 sessions going on an any given time so it's very up close and personal. Lots of time to ask questions and get to know that person."

Simison said that in years past, attendees have found their favourite author wandering around the park, so they would all head to a local restaurant to eat and talk.
