Four more ex-residents of Valley View are moving into a new LutherCare home in Saskatoon.

LutherCare provides a range of services including senior’s housing and community services to more than 1,200 residents and clients across the province, and they operate ten group homes in the province. Those include two homes with former Valley View residents.

The provincial government will provide $500,000 annually for residential and day programming.

The new group home is part of the Saskatchewan Disability Strategy with creating residential services for people with disabilities.

“The ministry appreciates the support that LutherCare Communities provides to people with intellectual disabilities,” Social Services Minister Paul Merriman said.
