Everybody's working for the weekend at this point, trying to keep motivated as we deal with a nasty windchill today.

It'll feel like -40 at times because of the wind that's combining with an arctic ridge over the area.  The cold conditions have prompted the Prairie South School Division and Holy Trinity to cancel all of their buses today. Cornerstone Christian School is reporting that Carmen and Coralie's busses are cancelled due to extreme cold. Day cares and child minding programs could also be impacted as some offer walking programs to get the children to school. When it gets this cold, alternative plans need to be made.

With conditions like this there is the elevated risk of frost bite and hypothermia.  Be sure to dress appropriately, limit your time outside and have an emergency kit in your vehicle just in case.

A system moving through tonight will cause a bit of snow to join the party, before everything starts to clear up tomorrow. We'll start Thursday with frigid conditions again but a warming trend should start to slide in after that, leading to highs above normal for the weekend.
