High St to be Converted to 2-Way Traffic During Construction

If you're cruising around town Monday afternoon, you may notice that some temporary adjustments have been made on High Street.

2-way traffic is in place on the 200 block of high street today as water main replacement construction starts up.

This is only one part of a four-part plan for 2020's Water Main Replacement Program, that will also see work done on Stadacona St. East from Sixth Avenue to 10th Avenue NE, Fairford St. East from Main St. to Second Avenue NE, and Third Avenue NW from Oxford St. to Macdonald St.

Eastbound lands will be blocked off and the westbound lands will be converted into two way traffic. Businesses on High Street will all remain accessible during construction,.
