As of Friday, we are one month away from the 15 Wing Fellowship Highway to Heroes Concert/Car Show on July 15th.

Usually the show goes on closer to the end of Summer, but to coincide with a fan favourite of Moose Jaw, they moved up the dates to July.

"We've changed the dates...we used to usually have it in September, we've changed it to July to coincide with our wonderful, world renowned Snowbirds who are going to be in town for that weekend so I'm over the top excited. Not only the Snowbirds are going to be there, but the military SkyHawks demonstration parachute team are going to be there," said Aaron Ruston, the Chair of the event. "They do some amazing thing and on top of that, we're going to have seven, eight hundred cars this year."

All the funds raised from the event being hosted at 15 Wing will be going towards the 15 Wing Fellowship, which will be used for any projects they have.

The classic cars are all brought in by local collectors and enthusiasts to be displayed on the ramp, and they'll accept most vehicles as long as they aren't leaking or a hazard.

The cars will be getting to the base around 9 am. Then, at 11 am, people will be able to enjoy the cars and the live music, which plays until 2 pm. The Canadian Armed Forces will then take their turn, as the Snowbirds and the SkyHawks will perform from 2 pm to 4 pm, and depart the airfield at 5 pm.

You can find more info on the Highway to Heroes show, including info on admission, on their Facebook page.

"We're expecting maybe seven, eight thousand people," Ruston added. "Which is quite a growth over the last couple years but with the Snowbirds there and the SkyHawks, vendors, concessions - it's going to be exciting."
