Health officials are raising warning flags as new data shows Saskatchewan has the highest number of HIV cases in Canada.

The provincial government says the use of injection drugs is the main reason Saskatchewan has had nearly 2100 cases over the last 31 years. Last year alone, there were 170 cases across the province.

However, here in the Five Hills Health Region, officials say they see very few cases of HIV typically between 0 and 2 cases a year.
