Adding to their already successful Community Kitchen Program and Junior Chef Program, Hunger in Moose Jaw is now offering Youth Cooking Classes.

People aged 13-18 can sign up and learn how to make easy and healthy recipes. Each class has two participants so the instructor can have one-on-one time with each attendee.

Sharla Sept, Executive Director for Hunger in Moose Jaw, says the classes will be easy to follow.

"Our Community Kitchen Coordinator tries to do a simpler recipe, something with balanced nutrition, and it will be enough that they can take it home for supper."

Sept says that although the classes have already started, spots are still open. "We will make as many kitchens as we can accommodate."

The classes will be held after school, but the day depends on the participant's availability as well as the Community Kitchen Coordinators' schedule.

Classes are $5 per class and the amount of interest shown determines the number of classes available.
