It’s National Hunting, Trapping, and Fishing Heritage Day in Canada, and it’s all to celebrate the contributions of hunter, anglers, and trappers in the past and present.

“With over 250,000 Saskatchewan residents participating in hunting, angling and trapping every year,” states Darrell Crabbe, executive director of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation. “These heritage activities not only provide huge quality of life benefits, but also generate over 500 million dollars in economic spin off annually for this province.”

Involved with nature and animals conservation acts, the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation helps to keep animals and fish abundant in our province through joint efforts with licensed hunters, anglers, and trappers.

The Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation here in Moose Jaw acknowledges the national day but better observes and celebrates our provincial day on November 15th.
