JGL have been in Moose Jaw since 1979, and they've finally upgraded to a brand new facility.

The company celebrated their grand opening on Friday with employees, customers and special guests.

Their plot of land features a brand new building that facilitates many different operations, located about 12 kilometres west of the city.

A lack of space was primarily the reason behind their abrupt move; they brought in each building to house more employees, and semi-drivers also had trouble trying to maneuver around their old lot.

"We did need the room, we were sitting on top of each other and we actually had a trailer down on our old place there," explained one of the founding members, Bill Jameson. "We're in the grain business now, we're in the farm input business... it's expanded, we're all here now in the same place and everyone is happy."

Jameson added that the company was fortunate to have a customer swap them land for their plot by the Johnstone Auction Mart.

He also noted that they've got big plans in the future and more exciting news will be coming.
