It's that time of year.

The Moose Jaw Homegrown Farmers Market kicks off this weekend, running Saturday 8am until 1pm on Langdon Crescent.

Jody Chell is the Marketing Manager for the Market, and told us what days we will be able to find it.

"We are going to start this Saturday, May 26, and the markets will run every Saturday until Thanksgiving long weekend. Our Wednesday nights will start July 11 and those will run right up until September, it starts to get a little chilly and dark at night, so we will shut those down at the end of August."

Chell filled us in on how many vendors we can expect, and what types of goods.

"I believe we are looking at 20-25 for sure that will be showing up this weekend. We've actually doubled our numbers this year in applicants but we do have some that will only be with us one time this summer, and some that will only be coming Wednesday nights."

"We have a lot of produce, veggies, we have micro-greens, baking, preserves, we have cotton candy and popcorn coming in this year. Knit and sewn goods too, clothes and home decor. We have a variety of things at the farmers market this year which I'm so excited about."

There will also be a variety of jewellery and natural beauty products being sold.

The theme for the market this year is 'Make it, Bake it, Grow it'.
