Everyone’s happy on McHappy Day!

On May 11th, McDonald’s Canada franchise brings communities together to host this annual event nationwide for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) and other local children’s charities across Canada.

To get involved with McHappy Day and to help contribute to the cause residents can go to their local McDonald’s and order their favorite meal, purchase limited time merchandise from Peace Collective, donate $2 at any participating restaurant (you’ll also receive a McHappy Day heart with a special video message for the donation), or by purchasing McHappy Day socks for $5 at any McDonald’s location or through the McDonald’s app.

The RMHC helps over 36,000 families in 3,400 communities across the country through this initiative and yearly donations.

Through 33 programs that include 16 houses and 17 family rooms, the proceeds help keep families together during the trying time when a child is sick and receiving treatment in professional medical facilities.

The first house opened in 1981 and since then the RMHC has helped over 436,000 families.
