The City of Moose Jaw is a labyrinth of construction and road work this fall.  An important part of the work being done on the roads is extending the life of existing pavement.  That's what micro-surfacing is all about.

The process involves the application of emulsified asphalt to the existing pavement surface.  This slows the deterioration of the pavement and extends the surface life of the roadway.

Once applied, the surfacing takes time to cure and is damaged if driven or parked on.  That means the roadways seeing the work will be closed while the work is being done and for about 24 hours after.  The roads will be re-opened once the barricades and signs have been removed.  This will be tow-away enforced.

Residents will need to move their vehicles from the front street before 7am on the date the work starts.

Here is the micro-surfacing work schedule for the next few days.
