The support has been amazing and so has the ability to help people, but the time has come for Moose Jaw Pride to move their office.

"It was a blessing to have (the office) from St. Andrews Church but it was clear, even within a few months of being there that one, small office space was not going to be enough." explained Executive Director Joe Wickenhauser. "We're ready for the next big step with a little bit bigger space where we have more room to do more things and welcome more people."

Moose Jaw Pride has been able to secure a unit on Main Street, across the street from Joe's Place, that will allow them to also open a Thrift Store called Rainbow Retro. Wickenhauser says the store will offer some income to help cover their expenses but also offer work experience.

"It's a way for us to provide a service to the LGBT community, one of which will be to create some job opportunities and some employment training and another way is to create that safe space."

A lot of renovations need to happen first and they hope to be open in early May.
