From warm and dry to wet and cold.  But that's not a huge shock for area farmers that are used to Saskatchewan weather.

Our neighbors to the west received a large amount of moisture, with some areas already having standing water, even before the snow melts.

Meteorologist Drew Lerner says the start of the week won't see much change in temps.

"High temperatures early this week are expected to be mostly in the single digits, with a few double digits readings occurring near the U.S. border, especially in the South West, West Central and South Central portions of the province."

With the abrupt weather pattern change, moving from warm and spring like to cold and wet, lead some people to think summer was on it's way in soon...but some people received a lot of moisture recently.

"A big part of the remainder of the prairies, including central, southern and eastern parts of Saskatchewan and Manitoba will not be dealing with nearly the problem that our neighbors off to the West will be dealing with. With that said we still will have encounter some periods of light precipitation."

However, Learner said the cold temperatures should taper off as we move through the work week.

"A little later this week we'll see a better opportunity for warming, this will occur probably Friday into Saturday when temperatures into the teens may become a little more widespread. Our low temperatures at night will be mostly be in the negative single digits, but every once in a while we'll see temperatures staying above freezing."

He said there will be systems bringing in precipitation, but nothing too substantial.
