We started the new week by nearly setting a new record low for Moose Jaw as a mass of cold air moved in for the weekend.

We were just a couple degrees away from the all time record low of -15.6 set back in 1900 and it was a chilly weekend over all that saw a few snowflakes along with some light showers. Moisture is still in the forecast for the next few days, along with colder air that should move out Thursday.

Northern Saskatchewan had to deal with a major dump of snow to kick off the weekend.  Over 30cm hits the Lloydminster and Buffalo Narrows district Friday morning and that caused issues with travel in many areas in the north west because of the storm.  Heavy rain was also reported in Meadow Lake with 20mm hitting the ground.
