Moose Jaw man Jeffrey McCaig made his first court appearance at the Court of Queen's Bench in Moose Jaw Tuesday afternoon. 

McCaig, 30, has been charged with several offences including second degree murder, breach of recognizance, possession of a knife with a dangerous purpose, and carrying a dangerous weapon. 

Moose Jaw Police responded to a disturbance on the 400 block of Stadacona St. E. on Nov. 10 just after 10 p.m. 

Upon arrival, police found 50-year-old Kevin Hallock, who had allegedly been stabbed. Hallock was transported to the Dr. F.H. Wigmore hospital where he died of his injuries. 

McCaig was remanded into custody and will appear in court Dec. 10.
