Born in North Battleford but now calling Moose Jaw home, Nancy Nash is a Canadian blues and pop singer who made waves in the music world in the 70s, 80s and 90s.

Featured on such songs as Bon Jovi's 'Living on a Prayer' and Loverboys 'Turn Me Loose', Nash also recorded the Expo '86 theme song and was nominated for a Juno award 1994.

Nash moved to Moose Jaw within the last year, and worked with many musicians before they got their big hit;

"I in some way got to work with a lot of people before they were ever famous like Bon Jovi, Loverboy, Bryan Adams, Cher was already an icon but she wasn't famous when I worked with her. One day you're hot, Sonny and Cher, and one day no one gives a darn".

Nash's lengthy career saw her release 8 albums, and share a stage with Bob Hope on many occasions.

"I'd already worked with Jim Valance who of course is the co-writing partner with Bryan Adams. And of course Bryan...before he was ever known, he was my background singer. He was always pursuing, he was on a very straight course and I could feel it".

Appearing alongside Rod Stewart, Rita Macneil, Tom Jones and Dr. Hook, Nancy has seen it all, but there is one particular memory that she says will stay with her forever;

"In 2015 I was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame up in Edmonton. That was truly overwhelming because I got to have Tommy Banks, who's a legend in Edmonton, and I was inducted for all these people I'd worked with whos lives had touched mine. I was still just a child".

Nash was the first woman ever to be inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in Edmonton.
