City crews were hard at work getting the outdoor arenas ready for the holidays, but mother nature has a different plan.

Rinks started to be flooded at the beginning of the month but without the cold weather, there's not much the City can do to get the rinks ready.

It takes around two weeks for the rinks to be completed and they had hoped to get the nine planned outdoor arenas up and ready before kids got out of school but that doesn't look like it's going to happen.

There's no official timeline of when they will be completed but indoor skating is always available with free skate on Fridays at the Wally Boshuck.
