It looks like the extreme southern portion of the province is going to get hit with a winter storm and Moose Jaw is just on the upper edge so we'll get a little taste of the action as well.

Forecasters have issued watches and warnings as a low pressure system moves across the province Thursday and into Friday morning. It began with the fog that moved in early Thursday morning and will continue with bands of freezing rain and then snow overnight. Winter storm warnings have been issued for the Cypress Hills and Swift Current regions while Assiniboia is under a watch, along with communities along the US border heading to the east.

Moose Jaw is under a fog advisory and we're being told there is some moisture being dropped that is then freezing on local roads, highways and sidewalks. Visibility is also being reduced so use caution when travelling.  While we're on the top edge of the system, we could still get 5-10cm of snow with high winds starting Thursday afternoon and carrying through Friday morning.
