Premier Scott Moe has officially announced that Cam Swan will serve as the new Deputy Minister to the Premier.

Replacing Kent Campbell, who was serving in an interim capacity, Swan moved from President and CEO of the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority to the new position.

Swan has held many senior positions over the years, including Deputy to the Minister of Environment, Chair of the Public Service Commission, Special Advisor to the Deputy Minister to the Premier, and General Manager of Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation.

In a news release from the Government of Saskatchewan, Moe said “Cam Swan’s depth of experience and reputation as a hardworking and respected civil servant will be an asset in providing leadership to Saskatchewan’s public service. I look forward to working with Cam over the coming years as our government continues to stand up for the best interests of Saskatchewan people.”

Along with Swan's movement, a number of leadership changes have taken place, including Clare Isman taking Swan's position of CEO of SLGA and Campbell becoming the Deputy to the Minister of Trade and Export Development.

Wes Jickling moved, and while he will be keeping his responsibilities as CEO of Innovation Saskatchewan, he now has the new position as Deputy to the Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs.

All new positions will come into effect on July 16, 2018.
