Saskatchewan minimum wage is about to take a bump.

The province announced that last week  it'll go up 10 cents per hour, reaching $11.06 an hour on October 1st.

The latest increase is a result of an indexation formula that has been used since 2011, based on changes to the Consumer Price Index.

Saskatchewan's minimum wage increased last October in 2017, from $10.72 an hour, to $10.96.

It's estimated that over 23,000 people in the province are paid minimum wage.
