With just a few hours to go, we could really use your help in getting to our fundraising goal of $150,000 with the 800 CHAB Family First Radiothon. We've been at the Dr Wigmore Regional Hospital since 6 o'clock Thursday morning and will be until 6 o'clock Friday afternoon as we look to help supply new equipment for the local health care facility.

This year's list include critical care equipment, vital signs monitors, automatic patient lifts, ICU beds, as well as portable ultrasound units.

Equipment like critical care beds can really make a difference to the overall experience for a patient that is in serious need of some help from medical staff. Vice President of Clinical Services Laurie Albinet says they are very important to giving the patient all the care they need.

"We've seen the benefit of a critical care bed and how that can support them and how much better it is for our staff in supporting them." said Albinet. "It's safer for our staff when they're trying to move these patients and care for these patients as well as it's safer for these patients."

Some of the major donations have included:

- $5,000 from the Fox family

- $5,000 from Wigmore Hospital Auxiliary

- $2,500 from Moose Jaw & District Paramedics
