The RCMP have confirmed the collision early Sunday morning between a semi and a motorcycle on Highway 6 was fatal.

In a release issued Monday morning, they confirmed the 60-year-old man from Emerald Park who was driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 37-year-old driver of the semi from Estevan was uninjured in the collision.

Police were called to the scene of the accident near the intersection of Highways 6 and 306 just after 3:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Highway 6 was closed for a portion of the day, re-opening in the evening.

The RCMP stated the investigation is ongoing at this time, with assistance from the traffic reconstructionist.

No other information is being released at this time.
