A road closure is in effect on the 1000 block of Main Street North between Oxford Street and Hall Street.

"It's a private service connection that we're replacing there. Basically, a compromised sewer is the culprit. So, it's work that can't wait until the spring, unfortunately," says Darrin Stephanson, the Director of Public Works and Utilities.

That section of the road will be closed as of 6 am and is anticipated to reopen Sunday, weather permitting.

Stephenson also says that there won't be any water shortages in the area as long as the work goes smoothly.

Access to Wells Camera & Sound from Main Street will be open and construction signage will be in place.

The city asks that all drivers adhere to the posted signs and take caution in construction zones to keep everyone safe.
