Following a vote on March 19th, the real estate associations of Saskatchewan will be joining forces.

The Saskatchewan Realtors Association will soon be one cohesive unit, made up of the Association of Saskatchewan Realtors, Regina Realtors Association and Saskatoon Region Realtors.

Dave Markus, President of the Association of Regina Realtors, said "In real estate, just like in everything else in today's world, we're living in a dynamic landscape.  Where things are consistently changing, and technology changes how we do business.  In the new model we're going to be able to really build this from the ground up, and we're looking forward to helping people across the province buy and sell real estate."

The vote occured on March 19th. Markus added, "this is to save members money, reduce redundancies, improve the quality of services, raise the bar on education, and overall make things more consistent and better."

With the exclusion of Lloydminster, the 3 existing real estate associations are amalgamating into one single provincial association, and this will take effect on January 1st, 2020.
