Saskatchewan is seeing its seventh month of job growth, the private sector has been leading the way with an increase of 9,000 jobs since February 2018.

"It is encouraging to see job growth for the seventh consecutive month," Immigration and Career Training Minister Jeremy Harrison continued, "Despite the significant economic headwinds facing our province, our industries continue to drive positive job growth.  Our government will continue to stand up for Saskatchewan families and work hard to ensure our province and economy remain strong.”

The job increases were split with 5,800 being full-time and 3,200 being part-time: the growth Saskatchewan has been seeing sets a new record for the month of February.

Along with job growth, the seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was 5.8% which places it on par with the national average.
