With all local kids back to school after the holidays, local drivers and parents are being reminded to keep safety in mind as we try to get back in to the normal routine.

"Watch for school buses that are loading and unloading students and be observant of the posted speed limit," said Christine Niemcyck, the Corporate Communications and Public Relations Manager with CAA Saskatchewan.

"Sometimes exhaust can make it difficult for motorists to see kids going in or darting between vehicles, or maybe they're playing on the snow banks, so keep a look out for that as well."

Parents are also asked to have a refresher conversation about road safety with their kids because it's just as important for students to watch for vehicles as it is for drivers to watch for kids.
