The Scotties Viterra Provincial Curling Championship wrapped up this past weekend and Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre's Penny Barker rink left the tournament as the new provincial champions.

Skip Penny Barker played fierce games with her teammates Second Jenna Enge, Third Christie Gamble, and Lead Danielle Sicinski. They finished off the competition by defeating the Chelsea Carey rink 7-5 on Sunday in Assiniboia.

Winning this provincial championship means the team will be going to Thunder Bay Ontario for the National Scotties Tournament of Hearts Championship on January 28th.

Discover Moose Jaw News talked with Barker about her team’s victory and her own 2nd provincial title. She also tells us about how the team is preparing in the short time before the national tournament.
