The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) was hit by a cyberattack on Dec. 25 that impacted its computers systems.

In a press release on Monday, the provincial government said there is no impact to the general public at this point. There is a risk that the personal information of SLGA employees was accessed and it is contacting current and former employees to provide credit monitoring. The SLGA did say that there is currently no evidence that any personal information has been used in any way.

The SLGA has hired independent cyber security experts to help deal with the cyberattack and recovery from the attack is underway.

The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner has been notified of the incident by SLGA. The cyberattack is currently under investigation and the SLGA is cooperating with law enforcement to resolve the matter.
