Good news for drivers in southwest Saskatchewan, after results from CAA's first week of voting for Saskatchewan Worst Roads Campaign, have come in.

No southwest Saskatchewan roadways were named in the top ten of voting during the opening week.

With the first week of voting done, CAA confirmed they received approximately 1,685 votes cast from across the province.

The top vote getter for Saskatchewan's Worst Road as of April 11th is Saskatchewan Highway 155.

The 299-kilometre long highway was constructed in 1947 and connects the village of Green Lake to the northern Saskatchewan village of La Loche.

Two highways that are close to the southwest did rank inside the top ten. Saskatchewan Highway 51 near Kerrobert was ranked 9th and Saskatchewan Highway 45 near Delisle was ranked 10th.

CAA acknowledge the number one problem identified by voters thru the first week of the campaign has been potholes.

Voting for Saskatchewan's Worst Roads campaign closes on April 28th.
