There's a new home for the South Saskatchewan Independent Living Center (SSLIC), but it's filled with the same friendly faces.

They unveiled their new building Thursday afternoon in Moose Jaw, with clients and special guests in attendance.

SSILC's main purpose is to help people of all abilities find employment in their community.

"We assist people with finding employment, people that have barriers or people who have difficulty with finding employment. Sometimes people just aren't familiar with how to access services, how to navigate the internet and how to apply online, so we assist people with that," explained Alicia Beatti, Employment Facilitator.

"We assist people with not only finding employment, but supporting them in finding a sense of stability and getting them ready."

She said the reason they changed locations was because the new building became available and met all of their needs.

"We were so fortunate for the space to come up and for us to actually have the opportunity to move in here. The space is a little bit more suited to our needs...it's more suited to what we do here."

Currently the SSILC has three different groups on the go with topics such as self development, skills for various positions and how to find a career.
