The NDP are taking more shots at the Saskatchewan Party government after it was revealed that the remaining STC inventory has been liquidated for an estimated $29 million. It was back in the spring that the province announced that they would be shutting down the bus service and selling off all of the assets.

Minister Responsible Joe Hargrave says we're getting a good deal on the entire sale, with the province reporting that the appraised value of assets was just shy of $26 million.

But the Regina head office alone cost over $26 million to build and contract requirements prevent the province from revealing how much each bus sold for, pushing the Opposition NDP to demand clarity.

Most of the assets went to a liquidation company from Ontario. It isn't yet clear who bought the Prince Albert, Moose Jaw and Saskatoon depots or what their future might be. The Regina depot was reportedly purchased by the City of Regina.
