With plenty of high school athletes already signed on and some local celebrities lined up to play, Sets4Supper is looking to be a smash hit.

Created by two high school volleyball players attending Vanier Collegiate, and two other students, the girls are putting on a charity volleyball to support Riverside Mission.

Organizers Jenna Meili and Allison Grajczyk-Jelinski are passionate about Riverside and volunteer there often. With the money, they raise they'll be able to help the Mission afford some new appliances for their kitchen and also treat some of the homeless people to a movie night at our local theatre.

Meili recently attended leadership conference called Taking it Global, and they provided the girls with a grant for the event and whatever they don't use to put on the games will be donated to Riverside Mission.

"It's going to be a lot of fun, there's going to be two volleyball games," Grajczyk-Jelinski said." So the high school game will be a little more directed and a little more serious and the celebrity game is going to be kind of for fun so you'll expect some people joking around and we're going to have some elementary kids come in and maybe play around a little."

Plenty of local high school all-stars have signed up for the event already, and a number of local celebrities are already confirmed. To name a few, Mayor Fraser Tolmie and Saskatchewan Roughriders Spencer Moore and Scott Schultz are just some of the few joining to help the fundraiser.

Each player is challenged of raising $100 in pledges before they hit the court, and if they get full rosters, that's thousands of dollars they'll be able to give to Riverside. Residents can help support the girls by donating generously upon entry or by participating in their raffles and silent auction.

Sets4Supper will take over the Vanier Collegiate Gym on December 1st at 1 pm.
