The Federal Election is here and will be gone just as fast as it came, by tomorrow Canada's government may look much different.

In the last 40 days of election campaigning, the importance of voting has been talked about quite a bit.

For one new Canadian, Mohammed Aeoul-Khir the right and privilege of voting are brand new.

Mohammed received his citizenship just one month ago and with it his right to vote, he described how it felt to be able to vote.

"This is our dream. That means we are feeling it is our right and responsibility. What I feel also is that we don't know too much about the people here but I think everyone is good because when you vote you vote for Canada."

Aeoul-Khir added that where he is from in Syria there hasn't been an election for more than 40 years.
