CAA has released its annual top 10 list of the worst and most unsafe roads in Saskatchewan.

Residents across the province who are transit users, pedestrians, motorists, and cyclists have nominated and voted for the worst roads to travel on within Saskatchewan.

Two roads in Moose Jaw made the list, with the 4th Avenue Viaduct coming in 7th place and 9th Avenue southwest coming in 10th place.

According to Christine Niemczyk, Director of Corporate Communications and Public Relations, this is the second time that 9th Avenue has been on the list.

"In 10th place is 9th Avenue southwest Moose Jaw... it was 10th place in the 2018 CAA top 10 worst roads,“ says Niemczyk.

However, this is the first time that the 4th Avenue Viaduct has been on the list.

The list works as an interactive online campaign to promote road safety in Saskatchewan.

"Why we do it is to spark the conversation about safety and particularly safety for all road users," says Niemczyk.

She also shares that Saskatchewan has the most roadways in all of Canada and all of the information gathered during this campaign is given to the right authorities on provincial and municipal levels to help find solutions to make roadways safer for travellers.
