Few details are being released after a busy Thursday night for the Moose Jaw Police Service.

According to police, around 6:30 pm a male entered a residence and stabbed another male in the neck. Before the police were able to arrive, the victim was able to overpower the accused and keep him restrained until police arrived. 

Following the incident, 24-year old Cody Lerat was charged with break and enter and attempted murder. Lerat appeared in front of a judge on Friday and the matter was adjourned to February 21st for a show cause hearing.

The second incident took place shortly before midnight where police were called to another residence after a report of a dispute.

When police arrived they found a male suffering a stab wound in the chest. He was rushed to the hospital and is recovering from his injuries. The suspect fled the residence before police were able to arrive, and they continue to investigate.

There have now been 4 knife incidents in Moose Jaw over the past week.
