The province's new vaccine booking system that launched Thursday has already booked nearly 4000 appointments for those 85 years of age and older. Because of its successful launch, the government also announced that eligibility for booking will be expanded starting Friday, March 12, to those aged 80 and over.

With the new system, you can book your date and time online on the provincial government's website, or you can call 1-833-SASK-VAX (1-833-727-5829). Bookings are ONLY open for those 80 years of age and up.

In order to book your appointment, you will need a valid health card, and a cell phone number or email address where notifications can be sent.

Residents who are not eligible to book for their vaccine are strongly urged not to call the phone line, or attempt to book ahead at the time being.

The system will be able to verify a person's eligibility as they book their appointment, however, you will be required to provide identification when you arrive at your appointment. Any instances of providing false information in an attempt to 'jump the queue' may result in a criminal investigation.
