Closer and closer, that's how the fundraising for the new obstacle course in Wakamow Valley is going.

Wakamow has been raising money for the park since the summer, and is already making speedy progress towards their goal.

"It has a price tag of 120,000 dollars for it and we are 87,178 dollars closer to that goal," explained Margaret Moran, CEO of Wakamow Valley Authority.

Yesterday (October 6th) on CHAB, Wakamow Valley Authority announced the winner of their 50/50 fundraiser as Troy Williams, awarding him $4,045 and Wakamow putting the other half towards the new park.

Trish German, the Administrator and Event Planner for Wakamow, describes it as an "American Ninja Warrior" park. As the new structure is made more for thirteen year old kids and adults with obstacles and challenges rather than a slide and swings.

"We are still accepting donations towards the playground because we still have that little bit of more money to raise," said Moran. "So we're still making an appeal to the community to help make this happen to help us with some of the cost."
