The Dr. F. H. Wigmore Regional Hospital brought a little more Christmas spirit into their building this past Friday morning as they lit their glimmering Christmas tree in the lobby.

The 18 feet tall tree and contains 2800 lights and and was auctioned off for naming rights at this years Moose Jaw Health Foundation (MJHF) Festival of Trees for the third year in a row. Which ended up being, for the third year in a row, won by Murray GM with an amazing donation of $11,500.

"It's a special event obviously. You know, corporations, businesses and individuals really truly support the Five Hills Health District and the Wigmore Hospital and I think [the trees] important to everybody in the community and not only in Moose Jaw but certainly in the surrounding area," said Charles Vanden Broek from Murray GM. "So it's a way for us at Murray GM to contribute and to be part of a great tradition that that's still very much alive today."

A sign is posted beside the tree to let everyone know the dedication Murray GM has for the MJHF.

"Murray GM's sponsorship and commitment since inception of the tree just been overwhelming. This is our third year you know that we've auctioned the festive Christmas tree off at the Festival of Trees and the family at Murrays beginning with Charles and Carolyn they've had year one and this in now year three," said the MJHF's James Murdock. "It seems to be their tree, but the dollars that they have committed to the foundation are so greatly appreciated and have helped all areas of healthcare at the hospital."

Dozens were in attendance to see the official lighting of the tree in the lobby and to see a great start to this Christmas.

"I just think it's spectacular. You know to see the smile on Charles' and Carolyn's face the dozens of people that were in the lobby here to witness Kelly turning the lights on," added Murdock. "It's a special moment. Something that I think city of Moose Jaw and the Dr. F. H. Wigmore Hospital should be very happy and pleased with."
