Moose Jaw Police responded to 27 calls for service.

7:23 am – Suspicious Vehicle – Police attended and spoke with the individuals involved, and they agreed to move on.

7:44 am – Found Property – Police will assist with returning it to the owner.

9:02 am – 911 Call – Someone was calling for help.  Police attended and confirmed a child was playing with the phone.

10:20 am – Mischief – Property was damaged in the park. The file still under investigation.

10:30 am – MVA – A two vehicle accident took place and one tow was required. Approximately $3500 in damage was done, and no tickets were issued.

11:31 am – Suspicious Vehicle – An insecure vehicle was parked on the street. Police contacted the registered owner.

2:50 pm – Dispute – A custody dispute took place between two parties.  The dispute was mediated by police and a well being check on the children was completed.

3:50 pm – Mischief – The back window of a vehicle was smashed out. Approximately $500 in damage was done, and there were no suspect or witnesses.

4:08 pm – Theft Under – A vehicle was entered and items were stolen.  Police are still investigating.

4:22 pm – Hit & Run – A vehicle’s rear light was damaged. It is unknown when it was hit. There was approximately $1500 of damage and no suspects or witnesses.

7:47 pm – Barking Dog – Police attended to the area and warned the dog owner of the bylaw.

8:29 pm – Noise Bylaw – Someone was setting fireworks off. Police attended to the areas as described, but did not note anyone setting fireworks off.

9:09 pm – Suspicious Person – A person was in the area lurking in a yard. Police attended to the area but were unable to locate anyone.

12:13 am – Mischief – A group of 4 appeared to be damaging items in the area. Police attended and spoke with the intoxicated persons, who were sent on their way with a sober friend.

2:29 am – MVA – A semi swerved to avoid wildlife and ended up in the ditch. Approximately $80,000 of damage was done, and no charges were laid. No wildlife was harmed.

3:26 am – Suspicious Vehicle – Police attended to the area, but the persons had left in the described vehicle prior to arrival.

3:27 am – Assault – Police received a 911 for an assault. Police attended and arrested one person for assault.
